Since our formation, NDSC has refined a unique competence in rendering clinical guidelines for actionable EMR delivery, with consideration to both the user experience and available information. We deliver these guidelines when needed the most, when care decisions are made. At the point of patient care.
CareSelect is the result of this competence, together with everything else we do as an organization. CareSelect enables healthcare providers to reduce variations in care, foster stewardship over resource utilization and automate authorizations through delivery of trusted guidelines covering a wide array of tests and services, including medications, lab testing and imaging through a single delivery platform, integrated with and trusted by EMR vendors.
NDSC sources content and criteria from reputable, national-standards worthy sources. Our criteria are created, vetted and delivered by the medical specialty societies and clinical bodies that produce them. We enjoy deep and collaborative relationships with our content sources. NDSC employs numerous clinical advisors that help us to prioritize our efforts. Operationally, we employ a team of clinical informaticists with backgrounds as PA’s, RN’s and Pharmacists. Their primary responsibilities are to translate and transpose the content narrative into EMR-readable algorithms.
CareSelect exchanges real-time data with the EMR and performs clinical calculations against evidence based guidelines and pathways, enabling the caregiver to choose alternate tests or clinical pathways based on the guideline coupled with benchmarking and reporting tools to ensure success. Our technology is uniquely designed to compute guidelines against available EMR data, delivering sophisticated clinical logic that is not constrained by, nor disruptive to the design of the EMR.
Integrated with every major EMR platform, providers trust NDSC’s CareSelect solutions to guide important care decisions in all 50 states and eight countries worldwide.
We like what we do – it’s important and we are proud of how well we do it and the positive impact it creates for our customers to improve population health.
